Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Esteemed Guests,

It is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to the fourth iteration of the Northwood High School Model United Nations Conference (NHSMUNC IV), held in-person at the Northwood campus (4515 Portola Pkwy, Irvine, CA) on Saturday, April 26th, 2025. As Secretary-General, I am thrilled to see such a diverse group of bright and motivated individuals come together to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges of our time.

Our committees span a wide range of topics, from real-world crises like the Situation in Haiti in the United Nations Security Council and specialized discussions in the G20 Summit and Space Resource Council, to imaginative simulations like the Fantasy Crisis: Star Wars. Advanced committees such as the Dual Delegate UNODC and the Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General are designed to challenge our most experienced delegates with high-pressure, dynamic scenarios.

In addition to our high school committees, NHSMUNC IV proudly hosts specialized committees tailored for middle school delegates, catering to both beginner and advanced levels. These committees provide a supportive and engaging environment where younger participants can build confidence, develop essential skills, and cultivate a passion for diplomacy from an early age.

What sets NHSMUNC IV apart are our unique features, including individualized position paper grading, extensive delegate feedback, a diverse range of committee types, and a low staff-to-student ratio. These elements ensure an experience that is both productive and enriching, leaving delegates better prepared for future conferences and leadership roles.
