NHSMUNC UPDATE 4/21/2025


Dear Esteemed Advisors,

With just under one week until conference day, please take a moment to read this email in its entirety for several important logistical updates regarding NHSMUNC IV.

Conference Location & Entry Instructions:
NHSMUNC IV will be held at Northwood High School (4515 Portola Parkway, Irvine, CA 92620). Please use the entrance off Portola Parkway—the Wolf Trail entrance will be closed on the day of the event. A map of committee rooms and key locations on campus will be available shortly on our website.

Lunch Provided by Chef Chris Tzorin:
We are excited to announce that Chef Chris Tzorin—featured on Next Level Chef and Guy’s Grocery Games—will be catering lunch through his West Coast Hibachi. Delegates may choose from fried rice with vegetables and a protein (shrimp, chicken, NY steak, or tofu), alongside a variety of custom sauces.

Advisors will have access to snacks and breakfast in the Advisor Lounge. As always, we do not charge for additional student or adult advisors, and delegates are more than welcome to bring their own food if they prefer.

Schedule & Arrival Time:
Conference schedules are now available at: www.northwoodmun.org/conference-schedule
Each committee will follow a slightly staggered schedule, but all schools should plan to arrive by 8:30 AM for check-in. There will be no opening ceremony; instead, committee chairs will escort delegates directly from the entrance to their respective rooms. Closing ceremonies will conclude by 4:30 PM.

Position Papers & Technology:
Each committee’s background guide includes a submission form for position papers. To receive feedback and be considered for Research Awards, delegates must submit a PDF copy of their position paper by April 24, 2024. While papers are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory for committee award consideration.
All GA and Specialized will allow full tech, so please ensure your delegates bring a laptop or equivalent device. 

Payment Information:
If you plan to submit your delegate payment on the day of the conference, we will collect it either at registration or in the Advisor Lounge.
