Republic in turmoil! Days after the devastating attack on the Coruscant Jedi temple was revealed to be the work of Jedi Barriss Offee, the Jedi temples of Lothal and Kashyyyk find themselves under assault. In the aftermath of the attacks, suspicions that another rogue Jedi may be responsible are fueled when a whistleblower exposes Jedi Pong Krell’s treachery on Umbara a year prior. Others suspect that these were acts of war, from Separatists or local Separatist-leaning neutral systems, as the Jedi are Generals and Commanders of the Republic’s army in the ongoing Clone Wars. 

In response, Chancellor Palpatine has convened the Senate to decide the Republic’s course of action. Senators and representatives must decide if they will impose martial law, infiltrate, and interrogate the Jedi for treason against the Republic. They must also decide if and how the Republic will take retribution against the Separatists with an already-weakened army, and if they will take preemptive action against the nearby neutral systems suspected of Separatist sympathies (and risk further alienation and allegiance shifts within the Council of Neutral Systems).
