In 2024, over 122 million people worldwide were displaced as a result of human rights violations, the climate crisis, conflict, or violence. Between resettlement, reintegration, and repatriation, the most optimal solution to the long-standing refugee crisis remains unclear. Delegates must balance concerns of national and international security with the obligations and responsibilities of nations to provide legal asylum, fund humanitarian aid, and establish resettlement strategies, ultimately developing a comprehensive framework that countries can adopt.
