INTERNATIONAL SPACE RESOURCE COUNCIL

Topic: International Space Collaboration vs National Competition

In the past, space exploration has involved both collaboration and competition. Multinational projects like the International Space Station (ISS) serve as examples of how nations may combine resources, exchange knowledge, and work together to solve obstacles. However, governments frequently pursue their own separate missions due to factors including economic interests, national pride, and strategic security concerns. This committee will explore and discuss balancing competitive space exploration with international treaties to maintain global stability that benefits humanity. Characters will discuss how to balance national interests with global collaboration in space exploration (property rights and technological advancements) and write resolutions to modernize outdated legal frameworks to prevent international conflict.
